Name: Karissa Goodrum

I am currently a grade 6 student at Ellison Elementary. I began taking tenor drum lessons at the age of 5 from my grandma who plays with KHPB. My First drum was very tiny and I came out and stood on the side lines to play. At that time there was no Youth Band. I have been highland dancing since I was four years old and have danced for the KHPB band since then for several of their events. While attending PHSD as a highland dancer I won a tenor bag for tenor sticks and told Terry Lee that I would be playing the tenor drum. When the ACM band was formed I was their first tenor drummer. I enjoy highland dancing, dancing with KHPB, doing my own choreograph dance pieces and playing with ACM. I am a Premier Dancer with Aviemore Highland Dancers.
